Dear Parents, Guardians, Staff, and Students,

We are all looking forward to an exciting and promising school year. Our goal is to maintain high educational expectations for all students and strive to make this year even better than previous ones. We are eager to collaborate with all stakeholders to enhance student learning and achievement while ensuring a positive and safe learning environment for everyone.

A bit about my background: I started my administrative career as a vice principal in the Hamburg School District, later moving to MacKinnon Middle School in Wharton as principal. Before stepping into administration, I was a social studies teacher, working in urban and suburban districts with pre-K through high school students. I firmly believe in the importance of continual personal and professional growth. I have pursued further education throughout my career, earning a doctorate in Irish history from Drew University and a doctorate in education from Centenary University. I also hold a Master of Arts in Educational Leadership from Saint Peter's University and a Bachelor of Arts in History from the University of Delaware.

We aim to cultivate active citizens who engage thoughtfully with the world and contribute meaningfully to society as well as meeting all district objectives through data-driven strategies and fostering a positive school climate and culture. We want our students to think independently, explore global issues, and develop informed opinions. We advocate for integrating technology into the classroom to provide engaging, rigorous, and differentiated lessons that enhance student achievement.

We value your involvement and believe that open communication is key to a successful school year. To stay updated with the latest news and events, we encourage you to download our school app, visit our active Facebook page, and regularly check our school website. These platforms are designed to keep you informed and engaged with our school community.

Sincerely,

Dr. Patrick Ketch, Superintendent
